SustainabilitySustainability is the first element that produces durable products, both from the aesthetic point of view and from the resistance one. During the production process, particular attention is paid to the materials used, raw material consumption, to the optimization of the resources, waste management, and emissions control. All products are designed to be disassembled and brought again to monomaterial elements in order to simplify the recycling process. The high quality and respect for the environment, therefore, represent established practices, as demonstrated by the ISO 9001 certifications for the quality of business processes, ISO 14001 for a production based on a sustainable environmental policy, FSC ™ C114358 for the use of wood from certified forests and Greenguard for the low emission of harmful substances. The products of the collection meet the European standards UNI EN 16139: 2013 of resistance, durability, and safety for seating
Organic coating
In 2017 Pedrali takes a further step towards environmental sustainability through the use of plant-derived water-based paints, that allows keeping high-quality standards in addition to a substantial decrease in VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds). These chemical compounds, contained in normal paints, evaporate at room temperature and can cause serious harm to human health, as well as contribute to air pollution. The result is a healthier and less hazardous working environment since these paints are non-flammable; less air pollution, and vast energy savings leading to the reduction of CO2 emissions.
